The Meat House, founded in 2003, is a gourmet neighborhood butcher with 29 locations in 10 states. Its newest store is in Roslyn, at 1085 Northern Boulevard.

We provide a full line of refrigerated and non-refrigerated baked goods at The Meat House, and we can deliver any specially ordered items directly to the store.

Our Story

A Taste of Home Bakery is a family-owned and operated, full-line bakery, café and sweet shop providing a combination of high quality baked goods and great service. We offer a full range of cakes, desserts, breads, chocolates, bagels, ice cream and more. A Long Island institution and strong community supporter since 2002, A Taste of Home Bakery is an old-fashioned establishment. Each year, A Taste of Home participates in many culinary events to support Island Harvest, United Cerebral Palsy, Coalition for Domestic Violence and several more charities.

We are proud that our local community has recognized us with many awards during the past 10 years. We have been named Best of Long Island by our clients and the readers of the Long Island Press for several years. For 2012 we are thrilled to be named Best of Long Island Bakery, Lunch Deal, Dessert Place and Chocolatier. We won 1st place in 2012 for our soup, and our coffee has been named Best of Long Island for the 5th year in a row.

We offer delicious breakfast and lunch choices in our on-site café, and host special events throughout the year including Breakfast with Santa, cookie and cake decorating classes and Build-A-Cake™ design sessions. Beautifully wrapped, edible holiday gift items for friends, family, teachers, clients and more are available for all special occasions and holidays including birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Valentine's Day, Easter, Passover and Thanksgiving.
